Δρ. Γκίζα Ευαγγελία
Dr. Evangelia Gkiza is a veterinarian, graduated from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. She also holds a PhD from the Medical School of Athens and EMBA from the International Hellenic University. Her career is dedicated in the Food & Health sector from a Public-Health, Medical & Business perspective. Started as a Medical Research Associate at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, and since 2004 has been working in the fields related to medicines (EOF) and the control of food of animal origin, both in certification bodies (ELOT) and in official control bodies (EFET). Between 2009-2021 she had been working at Hellenic Food Authority - EFET, as Head of the Department of Food Safety of Animal Origin and Composite Foods, aspiring to instill a one-health corporate mentality in related organizations. Currently moved to the private sector, as Regulatory Affairs and Quality Control Manager at P.G. Nikas SA. She is also a Non-Executive Member of the Board of Directors and Member of the Audit Committee for Hellenic Saltworks S.A. (appointed in 2020). Recently she was appointed as President of the Hellenic Institute for meat products.
