Μαυροσκότης Κώστας

Kostas Mavroskotis was born in 1974 in Athens. He graduated in 1992 from Doukas Private School and continued his studies at Agricultural University of Athens (AUA) in a master
Degree of Agricultural Engineering. He founded his first company in 1997, operated in the fields of Horticulture and urban landscape. Within 10 years the company was conquering more than 60% of the Greek market while during the preparation of the Olympic Games of 2004 was one of the main suppliers in plant material, for the restructuring needs of the city. In 2005, he began a major turnabout in his business activity, with orientation towards the food industry and he introduced for the first time in the Greek market a group of innovative products of fresh herbs with the brand name “AROMA Fresh Herbs” (www.aroma-herbs.com).

In 2012 was selected by the US Embassy of Athens and the State Department of US as the Greek Delegate at International Visitor Leadership Program “A new beginning”, an initiative of President Barack Obama, for the development of entrepreneurship. During his stay in US he study the local entrepreneurial environment and met with local authorities, VCs, Universities and members of Entrepreneurs’ Organization (EO) . In 2013, he was granted as a member in EO and he was assigned to found the Greek Chapter of Entrepreneurs’ Organization (EO), serving as a president from 2014 until 2016 and later on in different positions in the European council of EO.

He has participated in several initiatives, supporting the local entrepreneurial community as a mentor, speaker, moderator and supporter of startups, as well as a consultant at the European Institutions, for a Europe more in tune with its entrepreneurs. He is a founding member of the Association of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants of Greece and he has served on the Board of Directors for 2 years.
